Hapa lands in 6th in LET, SSC shines

               Joan Esteves Hapa, who graduated cum laude from Sorsogn State College (SSC), Sorsogon City campus on March 2012, ranked 6th place in recently concluded Licensure Examination for Teacher ( LET ) September 30, 2012, with an average rating of 88.00%
              
                Hapa, A mathematics major, is one of the 67 Bachelor in Secondary Education on ( BSED ) examinees who took the test. Of this number 51 passed, thus SSC achieved a passing rate of 76.12%, surpassing the national passing percentage of 43.50% in the secondary level. Likewise in the elementary level, out of 159 takers, 124 passed the exam, giving the SSC a 77.98% passing percentage against the national passing percentage of 49.29%,

               In Related news, the Professional Regulation Commission  ( PRC ) and the Board for Professional Teachers ( BFT )  disclosed that out of 50, 997 elementary teacher who took the LET, only 25,136 or 49.29% passed the test. Out of the 47, 892 secondary teachers who took the qualifying exam only 20, 834 or 43.50% made it. The LET cover the following fields: English, Physical Science, MAPEH, Mathematics, Filipino and Teaching Methods.# (efcarranza)

          Tampok din sa palatuntunan ang iba’t ibang sorpresang presentasyon ng mga mag-aaral mula sa organisasyon ng ATOMS, FPM, NEC, ABEBS, MEGA, SAMAFIL, IFTE, SPIA, STO atbp. Ang nasabing gawain ay pamunuan ng Fortune Educators Guild sa pangunguna ng kanilang pangulo na si G. Oliver F. Garbin at tagapayo na si G. Alfonso L. Garcia Jr.
